How accurate are ultrasounds when determining the sex after 20 weeks?

I am 22 weeks 1 day and I go to get an ultrasound tomorrow to find out the sex of my little one :)

I've heard that ultrasounds are 99% accurate on determining the sex of the baby after 20 weeks? Before 20 weeks the accuracy rate is lower?

Is this true? How accurate are ultrasounds when determining the sex after 20 weeks?yes. Sex can be determined by 16 weeks, however they recommend closer to 20 as sex organs will be more visable.

Honestly the baby's sex organs are develped by 14 weeks and a scan can be doen that early...but it is not recommend as a boys penis can be mistaken for the umbilical cord etc. I was told at 18 weeks a scan is pretty accurate, 20 weeks i pretty sure on.

I had an ultrasound with my daughter at 20 weeks exactly. It said a girl and thats what she is. With this pregnancy I dnt want a scan till at least 19 weeks or more

I would say whatever they say ur baby is tomorrow will be pretty accurate! Congrats and good luck! How accurate are ultrasounds when determining the sex after 20 weeks?
They told me it's about 99%, and the ultrasound technician told me that she wouldn't tell me the sex unless she was 100% sure. I have met people that have had errors in theirs though, but I think it was when the technology wasn't quite as good as it is now. The equipment they use these days is WONDERFUL, so I'd be willing to say that it's definitely gotta be upwards of 99%.How accurate are ultrasounds when determining the sex after 20 weeks?i heard that they check the gender between 19 and 22 weeks so im guess doctors want to be accurate so i guess they would do them when they can be accurate and as soon as possible. i hope u baby is cooperative mine was stubborn almost didnt get the shot they needed of him.How accurate are ultrasounds when determining the sex after 20 weeks?
