How does temperature determine sex in some species?

How does the surrounding temperature determine what the sex of certain species will be? Thanks. How does temperature determine sex in some species?Sex determination occurs during embryonic development, when sex hormones will stimulate the development of either ovaries or testes in an animal. In some species, the type and level of hormones in the embryo depends on the temperature the eggs are incubated. It is not known what adaptvie value such a sex determination system may have, and it varies from species to species, so it must have evolved independently more than once.
