What is the best method to clean myself after unprotected sex?

My problem is that I'm having reoccurring infections and I think it's due to excess semen; that and my boyfriend is not circumcised so I need an effect way to clean myself as thoroughly as possible.

also the unprotected sex part isn't an issue, we're both std free and I'm on a birth control, help with hygiene is all I need. Thanks! What is the best method to clean myself after unprotected sex?Excess semen does not cause infection.

What kind of infections ar we talking about here? If it's just yeast infections then yes, you could easily be spreading it back and forth. Make sure he is being treated with the same stuff you use. Men can carry it without symptoms and especially in an uncircumcised man, he could very easily just be giving it back to you every time you get it cleared up. So make sure he's using an antifungal cream around and up under the foreskin for at least 7 days.

Are you using a lube? It could be possible that you are having an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in that rather than getting an actual infection.

If you're talking about any other kind of infection, I'd recommend getting tested for STDs again and using a condom in the mean time. What is the best method to clean myself after unprotected sex?
He should make sure that he's cleaning his foreskin more thoroughly before you engage in sex, first of all. Second, the vagina is self cleaning but you should collect some of his semen afterwards anyway. You should go to the bathroom (urination after sex is recommended to prevent UTIs as well) and you can just wipe yourself or even collect some excess w/ your finger in a scooping method.

Douching may mess up your natural biology in your vagina so I would never recommend doing that. If this continues you may have to speak to your gynecologist. What is the best method to clean myself after unprotected sex?No semen cant give you infections but him not washing himself can. Have him clean it like hmmm pull the skin off and clean it in the shower.

Douching is ok but it pushes the semen back up in you (women's health mag a few yrs back) but it is ok to use it to clean yourself out just make shore he cleans himself up cause that is your problem.
Have you been to a OBGYN to be dx with any infections or are you speculating? I think a trip to the OBGYN is your first step. Secondly, umm.......make sure your man is free of anything that could be trapped in that skin. Soap and water is NOT going to get rid of any type of bacterial thing going on...sorry to say, but it isn't..and if this is what is going on and left untreated, it will NOT go away and CAN cause other SERIOUS issues (including sterility).

BUT, it could also be something as simple as irritation due to friction from lack of adequate lubrication....in which case....a thing of KY may help.

But still....I would rule out the infectious part for your own health. What is the best method to clean myself after unprotected sex?Usually, your vagina does a pretty good job of cleaning itself. If you're getting infections you might want to talk to your gynecologist.

Douching can get the semen out of your vagina, but douching isn't all that great. :/ If you must, just use some warm water.

Hope this helped! What is the best method to clean myself after unprotected sex?
Buy yourself some Dial soap and get a wash cloth and really cleanse that area,be sure you get in every crease and fold.My Dr. said that it's the best thing that you can do.Also I suggest that you wear underwear with a cotton crotch.A lot of infections could be avoided that way.Hope I've been of some help.
It has nothing to do with excess semen or whether or not your partner is circumcised.

It is probably due to passing on bacteria through oral sex or anal sex. What is the best method to clean myself after unprotected sex?
Actually you should go to a doctor and get that checked out. You shouldn't be having reoccurring infections. In the mean time you can urinate after sex.
HAVE PROTECTED SEX YOU IDIOT
talk to your gynecologist
